Energistics Elects Segun Oyebanji To Its Board of Directors

Energistics, the upstream oil and gas standards consortium, has announced that Segun Oyebanji, General Manager of Technical Computing for Chevron Company and CIO of Energy Technology Company (a Chevron Subsidiary), has been elected to its Board of Directors. Oyebanji replaces Jim Green, CIO Downstream and Chemicals for Chevron, who steps down after four years of service.

On his election as a Board Member of Energistics, Oyebanji said, “My tenure at Chevron has well prepared me for this appointment. Although I know the Board will miss the contributions of Jim Green, I look forward to providing my own perspective.”

Jerry Hubbard, President & CEO of Energistics, said, “We are happy to welcome Segun to our Board. His knowledge of end-to-end standards and processes will fill a niche within the board and we are certain that he will add value to our standards community.”

“Jim will certainly be missed as the Board Champion for PRODML, where he supported the reenergizing of the Special Interest Group and the development of a Daily Production Report and standards associated with production data,” added Hubbard.

Duncan Junor, Vice President at Halliburton and Energistics Board Chair, added, “The Board extends a hearty welcome to Segun Oyebanji. Chevron has a long-standing history with Energistics and the Segun’s appointment demonstrates the commitment of another high caliber resource to the board.”
