The eastern margin of the Atlantic Ocean from Norway to the west coast of Africa has delivered many world class discoveries in the past decade.   Not all of these have been in deep water.  Exploration has concentrated on Norway, the UK West of Shetlands and sub-Saharan Africa, however recently attention has been turning to Ireland where there is proven potential but which has not been so heavily explored.   Hannon Westwood advises companies on the potential of the region and has published a wide-ranging study to support the 2015 Irish Atlantic Margin Licensing Round.   This provides a first-pass screening tool with which to grade opportunities for further detailed work, says the Company.  The Atlantic Margin Licensing Round Study offers an overview of the acreage in the round with descriptions of discoveries and prospects on unlicensed acreage.

The Study covers all the Atlantic Margin basins including the Donegal, Erris, Slyne, Porcupine, and Rockall Basins.  It studies the current state of the Atlantic Margin including drilling and success history, Licence Rounds, resource estimates and a commentary on the history of each basin.  Statistics include average prospect size and prospective reserves by age.
